Plant Profile & Harvest Data
Hand-Harvested from Wild Bramble Thickets of the Caucasus
Our Blackberry leaves are hand-picked in late spring while still young and pre-flowering, the stage at which their astringent tannins and ellagitannin content reach their peak. The leaves are gathered from wild bramble thickets across the mixed broadleaf forests of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
The cool, high-valley microclimate of Georgia's Caucasus belt yields leaves with a rich, deeply concentrated polyphenol profile, and they are shade- and low-temperature dried to preserve the heat-sensitive tannins and flavonoids prized by the pharmaceutical and herbal-tea industries.
